2. Sponsorship- You must be sponsored by an eligible child who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. Your sponsoring child must be willing to provide financial and other support for your stay in Australia.
3. Balance of Family tree- You must meet the balance of family test, which requires that at least half of your children live permanently in Australia, or more of your children live permanently in Australia than in any other single country.
4. Health requirements- You and all family members included in your application must meet the health and character requirements. This may involve undergoing medical examinations and obtaining police clearance certificates.
5. Financial Support- You may have access to sufficient funds to support yourself and accompanying family members in Australia. Your sponsoring child may need to provide an Assurance of Support.
